Lela Davidson Talks Jewelry

I am a huge fan of Lela Davidson, author of Who Peed on My Yoga Mat? and Blacklisted from the PTA. Her books help moms find humor in everyday life. When given the opportunity to interview her, I naturally jumped at the chance. Below she talks about what jewelry means to her and how she incorporates it into her life.

What is your favorite piece of jewelry?

My wedding ring for sure. I got it on my tenth anniversary and I love it. It’s a modern three-stone setting in platinum. It’s got a lot of metal surface area so it’s shiny AND sparkly!

What is your most symbolic piece of jewelry?

Probably not the most symbolic, but my current favorite symbolic piece is the Manolo Blahnik charm my best girlfriends gave me at the launch party for my first book, Blacklisted from the PTA.

What’s missing from your collection?

I once tried on this ten-carat diamond…. Kidding. Nothing is missing. I’m not a huge jewelry person. I never really pick things out, but I love whatever I receive as a gift. However, I have been thinking of starting a charm bracelet for myself to help remember milestones.

How do you incorporate jewelry into your everyday style?

I’m super simple. I’m usually wearing simple diamonds or pearls–mostly because I’m not stylish enough to put things together!

Which piece do you most want from My Diamond Obsession?

What is your largest, sparkliest, clearest diamond? That’s the one I want.

As a mom how do you make sure you have time to have those nice evenings to wear all your fancy jewelry?

Are you talking to me? It’s funny, when I go to something fancy, I’m usually wearing costume jewelry. I like to wear the good stuff every day.

Beautiful Gemstone Rings

My Diamond Obsession announces the launch of our beautiful gemstone ring collection. The collection features the perfect rings to make a bold statement.

Many of the rings contain both sterling silver and 14 karat yellow gold for a two tone effect and all of the rings feature diamonds. The collection contains cushion, round, and oval shaped gemstones. Each ring is elegantly surrounded with diamonds.

Below is one of the early favorites from the collection. It features a cushion cut lab created blue sapphire. The sapphire is highlighted by a frame of diamonds and beautifully set in sterling silver and 14 karat gold.
